Candelle, a friend from "Nerd Camp" (where I met Tyler) came to visit from NJ last weekend. We had dinner with Corey Friday night and then went to her house to have a bottle of Champagne-that-wasn't-from-Champagne. Saturday we slept in and then went to the Dogwood Festival. There were over 200k people in attendance over the weekend - or 1/3 the population of Vermont!
The Festival was a lot of fun - we had lunch at Park Tavern and got a little sun laying out in the park while we waited for our table. Afterwards we watched a movie on the History Channel about the Dust Bowl that was very interesting - and then headed out to Cheesecake Factory for a late snack and dessert. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the perfect weather. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
Sunday we went to breakfast at my favorite spot- J. Christopher's - where we saw three of my former students all hard at work and one set of current parents. We had a delicious breakfast before heading for the airport.
I didn't take any pictures of Candelle and I together, but got some good ones of her and Fred.
