Last night was the 8
th grade dance at my school. It's always fun to see the kids all dressed up and it's always hilarious to watch them dance! Most years the kids come with their friends, but this year they decided that they all needed dates. (Not that they spent hardly any time with their dates one they arrived!) Here are a few representative pictures from the night:
The theme was something Jimmy Buffet-related... Phillip wore pants with crabs on them. By far my favorite boy-outfit of the night! (Reid was also on top of the best-dressed list with his Miami Vice outfit. When I asked if he had used the TV show as inspiration he told me that he had never heard of it!)
Selle wore my favorite girl-outfit of the night. It's actually a
sleeveless dress that "her mom found for her" and a yellow polo shirt that she already had in her closet. So adorable!

Zac looked like this pretty much all night!
Jerren and I look like we dressed up to match... and maybe go on safari! (Also notice that there is no ceiling - it's looked like this for months now while we are under construction. The parents had a lot of work to do to make the school look nice for the dance!)

Mia, Nancy and Savannah on our way out the door for the evening. The girls always wear uncomfortable shoes (even when we warn them) and end up taking them off. Their feet turn black from the cafeteria floor - yuck!
