At this time last week Barry and Tyler were in the midst of installing our new hardwood floors in the living room and master bedroom. It only took 2.5 days to get the job done and man, what a difference it makes! We are now looking forward to our next project: painting the house. This one will be not-so-fun to complete, but our house will be transformed from a darker, fall-colored house, to a lighter spring-colored house. I can't wait!
Here are some pictures of the floor - the after pics are no so great since the blizzard outside isn't reflecting the light.
Our friends Chris and Sarah have really light, spring colors in their house and we love it. We decided a while ago that the dark brown trim in the house needed to go and that we would paint it all white, but we weren't sure what colors to switch the walls to... should we stick to fall colors or spring colors? Here are some pics of what we are thinking now:
My favorite room will be this one - we have both agreed on these colors whether we have a boy or a girl:
Yay for February break and plenty of time to spend perusing decorating websites in between naps!

| For our bedroom and bath - we love the orange and blue. This is a for sure choice. |

| This is Tyler's pick for the LR/DR/Kitchen. I think it is too bright and would look weird in the kitchen... but I do love the pops of red. |

I love your hardwood floors. I hope we can do that here someday.
ReplyDeleteI like the pictures with the yellow walls - especially the darker, buttery yellow. Yellow is my favorite color.
The floors look beautiful! Enjoy, Enjoy! Have fun picking out paint colors. They all look nice to me.
