Caroline had her MRI today, but we haven't heard any results yet. She behaved herself while she was getting it but still needed to be slightly sedated during the test. She started getting her meds today intravenously so we should start to see some improvement in her condition soon. The neonatologist decided not to start her milk feedings today because he didn't want the milk to be an unknown variable when looking at the effect of the medication... so she won't get any milk until Sunday. She slept a lot today but Tyler got to kangaroo with her and I got to hold her. Tonight we gave Caroline her first bath and she loved having her hair washed! Oma leaves for Florida tomorrow but she will have one last visit in the morning before catching her flight... then Aunt Katie will be here for the weekend.
Loved seeing Caroline's first bath photos--it must have felt great for both of you! I am so glad your mom was able to come, and now Auntie Katie. We are all thinking of you all the time, hope you can feel our support and love! Joanie
I bet Caroline felt all nice and freshened up after her bath. Glad your mom was able to be with you and now your sister. We'll keep hoping for more good news. Thinking of you all.
Tyler just left some VERY good news on our answering machine about the MRI results. We're so happy :-) Ed is convinced that Caroline has started to "turn the corner" ever since he brought in the 8-5 bib from the relay race!! Haha, believe what you want, all I love is the bits and pieces of optimistic news that brightens our every day. Love you guys- we're rooting for you, Caroline! Sandy
Her little face is just beautiful!! So happy that everything is looking up! What a nice bday present for both Tyler and Grampie!!! We are continuing to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers! Love, Mary :)

We have been out of the internet loop for a week, but were keeping posted by family about Caroline's health. Sounds like things are a little better.
ReplyDeleteHow neat that you were able to give her a bath. She is so very cute!
