Surgery tomorrow?

Still haven't heard from the surgeons yet today; there is some discussion about whether to do surgery tomorrow or to wait until her staph infection (yes, another one in her central line) has cleared up. Yesterday we found a stricture in Caroline's sigmoid colon (does that also sound familiar? it should - they found it at Dartmouth, scared the crap out of us with the possibility of surgery, and then dismissed it the next day) which will need to be removed. This is why every time we get to about 5 days if feeding Caroline stops tolerating them - she literally can't poop out the digested food so she just spits everything up. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers... when I know what time surgery will be I'll be sure to post.

  1. Fingers crossed for a good recovery from her eventual surgery! Glad they finally know the cause of her feeding issues.
