Grant is now mobile, scoooting around the house (see separate post of video). He and Caroline love to play together - which is pretty amazing to watch (and it gives me time to do something else, like write this quickly). Caroline is going to start pre-school in the fall 4 days a week. I think it runs about 2.5 hours in the morning and afternoon, but we will ask for mornings. I have lined up an excellent home daycare for Grant all day and Caroline in the afternoons... they are going to be so well-taken care of there! I was recently informed that I will stay 60% next year working on 3 days a week. This means I'll get to take Grant to Kindermusic alone on Mondays when Caroline is in school and we will all have Fridays free. Caroline will get her speech and PT at school so we won't have separate appointments for that which will be nice. Last week we took the fam to Boston for follow-up appointments for Caroline. One of her growth hormone blood tests came back low IGFBP-3 (the other one, IGF-1 was low-normal) so we have scheduled the growth hormone stim-test for early May back in Boston. She may start growth hormone injections depending on the results which means that Grant won't outgrow her this summer (we can postpone that until puberty, at least!). Both kids are currently in size 4 diapers with Caroline at 23 pounds and Grant at 21 pounds!

Glad to see you guys back on the blog! Grant has changed so much since I saw him last. Caroline looks like such a grown up girl now. Love her pigtails.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photos! Gosh they are both so cute.
ReplyDeleteSo great to read an update on your children and your job next year. That is very exciting to think that Caroline will be at preschool next year and can get her therapy right at school. Hope the doctors in Boston can help her with her growth.
ReplyDeleteLooks like lots of fun happens at your house!
Aimee those are great pictures. The video of Grant scooting is adorable. Thanks for posting an update. Is it going any better in the sleep department?
ReplyDeleteI bet you are hoping for warmer weather so you can get the kids outside more.
